It appears as though spring has finally arrived! And with the
changing of the seasons, comes some changes of our own here at
Evanston Lumber Company. First, we demolished one of our large
storage sheds and replaced it with a state-of-the-art
rack-supported building. Second, we gutted the inside of our main
shed and equipped it with the same rack system that we have in our
new building. These changes not only make our yard personnel more
efficient, they also keep the stored materials in cleaner,
straighter and better condition than before. Our main priority has
always been to provide top quality products with an exceptional
level of customer service. The face of Evanston Lumber Company may
have changed, but our ability and desire to serve the customer
never will.

Homeowners are beginning to learn that the lowest-priced water
heater may be the most expensive to operate and maintain over its

Q: I'm installing an Azek deck, and I've had issues with mold
between the house and the deck in the past. How can I eliminate
that?
A: We suggest using Deck2WallSpacers, which are easy to install
(simply fasten the spacer to the ledger with properly sized screws
or nails through the attachment holes prior to bolting the ledger
to the structure) and are designed to provide adequate airspace
between a house and deck ledgers, stair stringers, shade
structures, railing posts, fence posts, etc. Proper air space,
which is provided by the Deck2WallSpacers and sound construction,
should prevent rot from occurring at these connections. For more
